Kim Bosse and Sharon Provins, founders of Birch Road, launched their first private BYOB club in Chicago in 2013. It's a simple concept: The club supplies everything someone needs for a night (or day) out, except for the alcohol. Members get their own locker to stock with bottles they love in a temperature-controlled cellar. Birch Road hosts tastings, clubs, lectures, and game nights among other fun activities for their members, and it now has multiple locations across the USA. Canard participated in Birch Road's pre-series A financing round and I continue to advise on strategy, brand development, and fundraising.
