Alpine Modern began as a boutique museum design store named LON Little Shop. We then produced a quarterly printed magazine about moutain architecture with Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics. The magazine was published under the title, Alpine Modern. Not long after, we dropped the name LON and rebranded the design shop as Alpine Modern. Following in the footsteps of the London-based brand, Monocle, we opened the Alpine Modern Cafe at 9th and College in Boulder. While all three business arms experienced popularity, it was apparent that we were illequiped to opearte three disperate businesses models. So we slowly depreprecated the shop and magazine businesses and focused on the cafes. The Alpine Modern brand has evolved over the years but has always stood for the simplicity and elegance of modern living.
